J.P. Morgan has put DTCC’s CTM automated matching workflow into production for US listed options. DTCC says 32 buy-side clients now use the workflow and monthly matched volume has risen 525% since July 2024. The service standardizes commission reconciliation, carries allocation data into the CMTA process and can speed submission to clearing. DTCC, September 23
This is not a matching-engine change; it attacks the custom reports, bilateral files and commission breaks that survive after execution. Options volumes can scale faster than operations because economic risk is booked immediately while allocation and fee disagreements accumulate later. Standardizing the clearing member, account and OCC Actionable ID narrows that gap. DTCC supplies no failure-rate or processing-time data, so the 525% growth demonstrates adoption, not yet the size of the operational benefit.
