Paramount+ US, included with either Essential or Premium; 1 hour 47 minutes. Daniel Roher’s New York thriller stars Leo Woodall as a piano tuner whose hyperacusis makes city noise painful and safe mechanisms unusually legible. Dustin Hoffman plays his older mentor; Havana Rose Liu is a composition student whose life pulls the story away from pure caper mechanics. Watch Tuner, official subscription terms, review

The premise gives the film a specific New York sensorium—pianos, apartments, safes and the aggressive background score of the street—while the modest scale leaves room for character. Reviews like the sound design and the Woodall–Hoffman warmth; the crime plot becomes more conventional as it expands. That is an acceptable Thursday trade: a compact adult thriller with an actual texture, and no demand that you adopt another eight-hour season.
