Netflix US has the four-part Spanish limited series in subscription; the episodes run 57, 35, 42 and 48 minutes. José Coronado plays a fading actor who reaches an isolated Mallorca hotel in 1959 and has to borrow the methods of his famous detective characters when a guest dies. The enclosed setting, theatrical identity and slow-burn suspicion are the attraction; episode one is enough to test it. The caveat is material: one early review found the execution conventional despite the excellent setup. Treat the first 57 minutes as the option, not the full 182-minute obligation.
