Ryley Walker's “Carrier” arrived September 29 with his move to AD 93. It is his first solo release since 2021's Course in Fable, though he spent the interval playing with james K, Joanne Robertson, Steve Gunn, Chris Corsano and others. Walker calls the new song a “clock-out” piece, developed after service-industry shifts; that ordinary-work origin is a better entry than the five-year comeback headline. Play the one track. Pitchfork
