For a track now rather than a ticket later, Al Doyle’s Hard Times in America is already on DFA’s Bandcamp page. His debut solo album, Hollywood Saviour, is due November 20. The credits include Lou Hayter on guest lead and backing vocals, India Footer on backing vocals and James Murphy on Korg Delta; Doyle handles the other instruments and vocals. Stereogum describes bright guitars, bass and drums meeting synths and programming. Those collaborators make this a particularly natural adjacent discovery for an LCD/Hot Chip listener. The link is to the actual track, not an album announcement.
