Thomas Straker's first restaurant outside the UK opens today, October 10, according to Eater's updated opening report. It occupies the former Lucky Strike space at 59 Grand Street, at West Broadway. Steel, green stone, leather and dark wood surround an open kitchen: a promising warm-room proposition, with the first service still unreviewed.

The actual New York menu includes clam tagliolini with parsley, garlic and chilli $32, wood-roasted grouper with courgette, lentils and salsa verde $45, and cucumber, radish and whipped sesame $18. Those provide substantive pescatarian options to investigate; stocks and milk, cream or soft-cheese preparations still need confirmation.

The official site publishes ordinary daily hours of noon–3 p.m. and 5–11 p.m., with booking through Dorsia. First-day hours and reservation availability were not independently established. Opening news earns attention; an untested room does not yet earn a critic's endorsement.
