The duo @—pronounced “at,” Victoria Rose and Stone Filipczak—released Autosmile yesterday: 11 songs and 40 minutes on 4AD.
For an entry point, try “I Know You Are (But What Am I Thinking)”. Apple's editorial notes describe interleaved folk voices with acoustic guitar and violin; “Love in the Dark” offers flute and guitar. Those details suggest a welcome change of texture from this week's more electronic recommendations. The title track, at 6:39, leaves room for a longer exploration if the first song catches.
The selection is based on the release information and editorial notes; the album link goes directly to the US track listing.
