Bloomberg reported on October 16 that Two Sigma Investments’ real-estate unit had stopped fundraising and making new investments. Partner and CIO Rich Gomel is leaving, along with other senior staff, according to people familiar with the matter. The business had opened to outside money two years earlier; Bloomberg says it attracted less than half its roughly $2 billion fundraising target.
