Microsoft’s October 19 security architecture puts similar concerns into a product design. Project Perception and Agent 365 share signals, context and a unified agent registry. Dynamic Agent Risk draws on identity, data, endpoint, cloud, network, runtime and activity signals; Dynamic Conditional Access can adapt authority as risk changes. Guardian Agents can investigate and recommend or apply containment inside human-set policy, approval and delegation boundaries. Microsoft Security Blog
The vendor’s account is a design proposal, not independent proof of effectiveness. Its most useful idea is separation of authority: non-deterministic intelligence sits inside deterministic controls rather than serving as its own security authority.
One implementation test deserves special attention. Suppose an agent is allowed to prepare a change, the change enters a queue, and the agent’s risk state worsens before execution. Does the executor check current authority, or reuse the permission that existed when the task was queued? A control plane that updates identity without rechecking the action can change the dashboard while leaving the outcome untouched.
