Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim's You Can See Everything is now in theaters through A24 after its October 16 opening. The official premise begins 34 days before Elizabeth Holmes goes to prison, when she invites a skeptical film crew to document her; A24 describes the result as a three-year journey.
The invitation itself creates a compelling documentary problem: the subject wants the camera there, while the filmmakers arrive with their own intentions. That premise and the directors make the film worth investigating, without supplying a verdict on a film not yet seen. The 2-hour-55-minute commitment and potential manipulation/cringe are cautions.
