WXY’s Stevenson Square in Soundview uses eight projecting stair volumes to serve 58 co-op homes. Two apartments per floor replace a common interior corridor, allowing homes to extend between two exterior faces.

Living spaces face the southern street side; bedrooms face the quieter north. Windows on both sides support cross-ventilation. Circulation shapes both the street elevation and the rooms behind it.

The completed project also includes 116 senior studios. This is a design catch-up, not an opening announcement: the project was completed in March.
