Drake’s and BEAMS F released a Made-in-Japan collection on September 11 with production credits more interesting than the combined logo. Ring Jacket makes the tweed game jacket; Niimi Sewing Center handles the Okayama selvedge denim. A belted single-raglan coat uses Magee herringbone tweed, while the denim chore jacket changes Drake’s usual cuff construction to engraved tack buttons. BEAMS’ complete collection notes

The raglan coat is the piece to study: generous A-line shape, one-piece sleeves, leather-wrapped buckle and enough cloth for movement to matter. The game jacket asks the inverse question—whether Ring Jacket’s refinement preserves the ease that made the original appealing. Coverage is design-only because current US stock, fit and return terms were not established. It is an unusually good maker story and a reminder that a collaboration earns attention by adding capability.
