The Falcons beat Green Bay 35–14 at Lambeau last night after scoring 27 unanswered points. In his first start of the season, Penix went 18-of-25 for 256 yards, one touchdown and one interception. Bijan Robinson ran 29 times for 194 yards and two scores; Drake London caught nine passes for 194 yards. Atlanta finished with 498 yards, converted 6 of 10 third downs and held the ball for 37:05. The Packers’ official recap also captures the other half: Green Bay managed 17 rushing yards and asked Jordan Love to drop back 54 times.
Both teams are 1–2, but Atlanta now has a materially different offense from the one that opened 0–2 behind backups. Sunday’s New York slate is less enticing: Giants–Titans and Jets–Lions at 1 p.m., Ravens–Cowboys at 4:25 p.m., then Rams–Broncos at 8:20 p.m. The late window has the best standalone game.
