Humanist Modernity opens October 1 at the Center for Architecture, 536 LaGuardia Place, and runs through March 27. It examines Stanisława Sandecka-Nowicka and Maciej Nowicki as equal partners across drawings, graphics, structures and projects in Europe, the US and India. She became the first woman full professor of architecture in the US, at Penn in 1963; his career ended with his death in a plane crash at forty. The substantial run leaves several months to visit.
