KID at 53–55 Frith Street, Soho serves lunch from noon to 3 p.m. and dinner from 5:30 to 10 p.m. The kitchen is Sertaç Dirik’s first solo restaurant after Mangal II, with David Carter behind the room. Grace Dent’s review singled out the blackened mackerel stuffed with carrot slaw and the bluefin-tuna ezme tartare; both offer a seafood route alongside the restaurant’s namesake roast goat. The official sample menu starts pide around £4 and meze around £6, while a normal meal is likely to land around £45 a person before drinks.

The strongest route is tuna ezme, mackerel and vegetable dishes from the fire. Ask whether the mackerel preparation or sauces use yogurt, cream or soft cheese, and skip the goat-cheese courgette flowers. The room’s brick, timber and open grill sound deliberately spare rather than theatrical. Booking inventory was not independently observed, so treat the official booking page as a live check rather than a promise of a table. Entrance is on Bateman Street despite the Frith Street address.
