Past Continuous opens to the public Sunday, October 4, in Gallery 899 at the Met Fifth Avenue, and runs through January 31, 2027. It is included with museum admission; today is the final member-preview day. The exhibition brings together more than 120 works and traces both careers across their full span.

Look for Krasner’s 1950s collages. The exhibition text describes her cutting up unsold paintings and, in some works, incorporating discarded Pollock drawings. Bald Eagle (1955) combines that material with vivid pink and orange. That gives visitors something precise to look at beyond the familiar Pollock drip paintings: how destroying and recombining her own work advanced Krasner’s painting.
