Roy Lichtenstein: Like New opens today, October 11, and runs through May 10, 2027. The approximately 130-work retrospective reunites the works from his first 1962 Leo Castelli Pop show and recreates the 96-foot Greene Street Mural.

For close looking, the mirrors offer a less familiar route than comic panels. The section texts describe airbrushed brochures from Bowery glass shops, followed by Lichtenstein's photographs of actual mirrors: dots and curves become descriptions of reflected light in paintings that reflect nothing. Nearby appropriation material follows transformations across artists and ownership contexts, rather than treating the source image as a one-step origin story.

Free Second Sunday runs 10:30 a.m.–6 p.m. today. Admission requires tickets and capacity is limited; specific ticket availability has not been checked. Blackburn printmaking is 11 a.m.–2 p.m.; the tape mural activity runs until 3 p.m.; guided close looking is at 3 p.m. on Floor 7. All times EDT.
