Fontaines D.C. release their fifth album, Dopamine Chamber, tomorrow through XL. James Ford produced the 11-track record; “Marianne” and “Tongue” are already available. The band’s own framing is a move away from the guitar language of its earlier records toward something colder, stranger and more synthetic, with pleasure under pressure as the organizing idea. That is enough for a first-listen recommendation tomorrow, not a verdict on an unheard album. Official release page · Bandcamp
