Business Insider reports that Walleye hired Balyasny equities strategist Jordan Tanner and Millennium recruiter Anna Dev, both starting in mid-2027. Tanner will connect fundamental equities, volatility and central strategies using AI and other technology; Dev will recruit investment talent and assess external opportunities. The revealing organizational number: outside managers now run half the equity long-short unit’s market exposure. That is exposure, not half the firm’s assets. Walleye declined comment.
